Requirements:

*USB Flash Drive (Minimum 4GB)

*Windows 7 or Vista installation files.

Follow the below steps to create bootable Windows 7/Vista USB drive using which you can install Windows 7/Vista easily.

1. Plug-in your USB flash drive to USB port and move all the contents from USB drive to a safe location on your system.

2. Open Command Prompt with admin rights. Use any of the below methods to open Command Prompt with admin rights.

*Type cmd in Start menu search box and hit Ctrl+ Shift+ Enter.

Or

*Go to Start menu > All programs > Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

3. You need to know about the USB drive a little bit. Type in the following commands in the command prompt:

First type DISKPART and hit enter to see the below message.

Next type LIST DISK command and note down the Disk number (ex: Disk 1) of your USB flash drive. In the below screenshot my Flash Drive Disk no is Disk 1.

4. Next type all the below commands one by one. Here I assume that your disk drive no is “Disk 1”.If you have Disk 2 as your USB flash drive then use Disk 2.Refer the above step to confirm it.

So below are the commands you need to type and execute one by one:

SELECT DISK 1

CLEAN

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

SELECT PARTITION 1

ACTIVE

FORMAT FS=NTFS

(Format process may take few seconds)

ASSIGN

EXIT

Don’t close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.

5. Next insert your Windows7/Vista DVD into the optical drive and check the drive letter of the DVD drive. In this guide I will assume that your DVD drive letter is “D” and USB drive letter is “H” (open my computer to know about it).

6. Maximize the minimized Command Prompt in the 4th step.Type  the following command now:

D: CD BOOT and hit enter.Where “D” is your DVD drive letter.

CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.

7. Type another command given below to update the USB drive with BOOTMGR compatible code.

BOOTSECT.EXE /NT60 H:

Where “H” is your USB drive letter. Once you enter the above command you will see the below message.

8. Copy your Windows 7/Vista DVD contents to the USB flash drive.

9. Your USB drive is ready to boot and install Windows 7/Vista. Only thing you need to change the boot priority at the BIOS to USB from the HDD or CD ROM drive. I won’t explain it as it’s just the matter the changing the boot priority or enabling the USB boot option in the BIOS.

Note: If you are not able to boot after following this guide means you haven’t set the BIOS priority to USB. If you got any problem in following this guide feel free to ask questions by leaving comment.

1.安裝時選試用安裝，安裝好後，（如果你不使用一、4.的hosts小腳本，可以手動進行以下操作）修改hosts：

打開終端，鍵入 sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts（注意 sudo前邊有空格）要注意的是轉換許可權過程中需要輸入密碼，空密碼是不允許的(如果你的帳號是空密碼，請先去改改吧)

1. Open the Start Menu, type “netplwiz,” and press Enter.

Are you in trouble with your installed Windows 7? Looking to repair upgrade install to fix Windows 7? I suggest first try out the System Restore or any other easier option to fix the installed Windows 7. A clean reinstall is not easy. Moreover, you insist to preserve your user accounts, data, programs and system drivers. The only way you could do this is to Repair Install to Fix Windows 7.
Here are steps you need to follow o Repair install Windows 7

Step 1

Start the Windows 7 and log on to administrator account

Step 2

Disable the 3rd party antivirus, firewall or any such security program. These may interfere with the repair upgrade installation of Windows 7.

Step 3

Load the Windows 7 installation DVD into the DVD drive. Now click on the Run Setup.exe option in the Autoplay window from within the currently installed Windows 7.

Step 4

Next click on the Install Now button to start the installation

Step 5

Uncheck the I want to help make Windows installation better box. Following this click on the Go online to get the latest updates for installation option.

Step 6

Windows 7 will search online to install any available installation updates.

Step 7

Look for the I accept the license terms box and check it. Then click on Next.

Step 8

Follow it by clicking on the Upgrade option. Now the installation of Windows 7 will begin.

After the final restart a blank screen appears

Type in your Windows 7 product key number

Step 11

First uncheck the Automatically activate Windows when I’m online box at the bottom. After this click on the Next button.

Step 12

Now click on the Use recommended settings.

Step 13

Choose your Time Zone. Set the time and date setting and click on the Next button.

Step 14

Click on the option for your computer’s location to select the correct network location type setting that has to be applied for the location.

Now Windows 7 prepares your desktop to startup

It’s not over yet. Now, ensure that you are not missing any user file.

In case some users files are missing copy them from the hidden protected operating system – C:\$INPLACE.~TR and C:\WINDOWS.~Q folders.

Run the Disk Cleanup. For this click on the Clean up system file button. After this check the Files discarded by Windows upgrade box.

Step 20

Refresh the Windows Experience Index (WEI) score.

Finally you are done with the repair work. Activate the Windows 7 and enjoy.

for people request for REAL HD
now they supported REAL HD as 1080p on youtube.

however i only found 1 video as fmt 37 till today so far

In Windows XP Professional, if you cannot access or modify GPT disk, you can convert a GPT disk to MBR by using the clean command in DiskPart, which will remove all data and partition structures from the disk.

1. You might see S2VR HD 5 Drives in GPT status.
2. Go to DOS command line (click on “Start Menu”, then “Run”, type in “cmd” in textbox, and hit “OK”)
   • Type in “DiskPart” in command line.
   • Type in “list disk” in command line to show all disks in this machine.
   • Use “select” to set the focus to the specified partition, for example “select disk 1″.
   • Use “clean” command to remove GPT disk from the current in-focus disk by zeroing sectors.
3. Go back to Disk Management, you can see all S2VR HD disks are “unallocated” now. Right click on disk info, choose “Initialize Disk”.
4. Choose all drives in S2VR HD and initialize them.

Warning: This command will erase all data on the disk, so please backup your data first.

1. Click Start and select Run. In the Run window enter gpedit.msc and click OK.
   
2. The Group Policy editor will appear.
   
3. In the left window select the + (plus sign) next to User Configuration to expand the list. Next select the plus sign next to Administrative Templates and then Windows Explorer. Finally, select the Common Open File Dialog entry.
   
4. Double-click the Items displayed in Places Bar entry in the main Group Policy window.
   
5. The Items displayed in Places Bar Properties window will open.
   
6. Select Enabled and then enter in the locations you’d like to have displayed in the Save As dialog box. You need to enter the full path to the location for the shortcuts to work. For example, if you want to have a shortcut to your My Documents folder, enter in:
   C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\My Documents\
   Once you’ve entered in all the locations you’d like to appear in the Save As window, click Apply and then OK.

7. Back in the Group Policy editor, you should see that the Items displayed in Places Bar is now Enabled. Close the Group Policy editor.
   
8. Test it out by saving a file – you should now have the new shortcuts displayed.

OS X Fix

Go to Terminal and type:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes show-store-arrow-links -bool FALSE

Windows XP & Vista Fix

• Ensure iTunes is not open. Browse to the iTunes Application Data folder (C:Documents and SettingsUserApplication DataApple ComputeriTunes on XP, C:UsersUserAppDataRoamingApple ComputeriTunes (AppData is a hidden folder) on Vista, substituting the drive letter and the user profile name where necessary.
• Backup and open the iTunesPrefs.xml with WordPad.
• Find the User Preferences key, and below the <dict> tag insert:<key>show-store-arrow-links</key>

• Launch iTunes & the store arrows will be gone.
